If you have a terrible lawyer who constantly ignores your phone, email, or other requests, be wise and decisive and just fire him/her. Hire Amanda immediately!!! She is absolutely the best!! She is a WONDER woman, a fighter, a loving mom/wife, and a spectacular lawyer. My ex-husband filed a divorce case in Washington state, claiming jurisdiction, when in fact we were only temporarily staying with his parents due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. When I returned with the children, he claimed I absconded with the children. The Washington courts were misled by my ex, and I lost custody of my children. My friends encouraged me to open a case in Nevada and try to fight locally after the WA divorce case had been opened for 8 months. They said I could win and get my babies back. So I started looking for a lawyer and found Amanda Roberts. I found her through a Google search under 'UCCJEA jurisdiction lawyer Nevada.' She brought light and hope to my life, and I finally started to believe that I could get my babies back home again. When I first met Amanda and had my first free consultation with her, I was not very hopeful. I went through 3 other crappy lawyers. All of them were either gold diggers, or they hardly ever responded to my emails and calls. Some of them would ignore my requests for weeks. I was pretty frustrated with my situation. Amanda told me the chance of proving the children’s residency was 40/60. I was very worried about my chances but took a chance with her. Once the case was opened, Amanda immediately dug herself in and started to work tirelessly on the case. During the first month, she worked many hours on my case and filed countless motions to bring my case to life and prove my children belong to the state of Nevada. Amanda is very responsible, responsive, and knowledgeable in what she does. I have never heard of any lawyer who was willing to work with/for you until midnight on a Friday, especially when she has a husband and 2 kids to return to at home. She would call me and my friends to the office to work with her and her paralegal Colleen O’Brien. Two months of countless hours and tireless work with Amanda and Colleen, we prepared 80 exhibits and were about to fight my ex-husband in the Nevada court. My ex-husband panicked and knew he was gonna lose at the trial with no legit evidence. He also knew my lawyer Amanda would rip him apart for all the lies and fraud that he committed in the WA court. He finally called me to try and settle with me and return my children back to where they belong. After 1 month of back-and-forth negotiations with my ex-husband, we finally came to a global settlement. This was a hell of an experience for me. Amanda fought fiercely for me in court using her extensive knowledge of family law. I love this woman so much. I am very grateful for what she has done for me.
